THING vs HULK: Make sense?
galactus177 asked:
I grew up enjoying the classic Fantastic 4 stories. I particularly loved the THING vs HULK battles. They were classics and I have all of them up to the point where Marvel started going nuts with some of the power levels.
Does THING vs HULK even make sense anymore? THING maxes out at 85 tons while HULK has no known limit.
I think Marvel has gone overboard with HULK.
Before, he was simply the Strongest living mortal on earth. This just meant physical strength as compared with other “Earthbound” beings, not the uber-cosmic lot.
Now, HULK is considered a “Force of Nature”, much like Pre-Crisis Superman. DC smartened up and brough Superman down a peg. Marvel seems to have gone the opposite way with HULK.
HULK can survive under water and in space and has a healing factor, much like Wolverine’s but faster. The Unlimited Strength idea is a little over the top. I’ll buy an “Unknown” limit but EVERYONE has to have a limit.
I like the healing factor but I think the Space and Water thing is a bit much, as well as the Unlimited Strength.

Average jail time for rape in Texas?
Kevin asked:
I’m in the military overseas right now. My wife(19 years old) was kidnapped at knifepoint, forced into her truck, driven to a secluded area by the rapist(42 years old), raped 4 times and once anally. He also told her he was going to kill her right before a cop on patrol randomly showed up and caught him in the act.
I have no idea what to expect as far as sentencing goes. I heard they are charging him with kidnapping and 4 counts of aggravated sexual assault. I know it depends on a lot of factors for how much time he gets but any estimates would be appreciated.
Also, couldn’t he be charged with grand theft auto?
Thanks,
I will be grateful if someone could give me a step by step solution for the following question.?

The atmospheric pressure above a swimming pool changes from 755 to 765 mm of mercury. The bottom of the pool is a rectangle (12 m x 24 m). By how much does the force on the bottom of the pool (in newtons) increase? (You may consider the conversion factor: 133 Pa = 1.0 mm Hg)
military or state trooper or dea?
Robert asked:
i am currently in college and i am think about join either doing one of the following:
1. join coast guard as a law enforcement officer
2. join the air force as a sf officer
3. try to get in the DEA
4. join the nj state troopers in one of their specialized branches
a major factor for the two military jobs i listed is i hear officers in the military ride desks all the time so if you can tell me if this is true for the two jobs i listed for the services. i don’t mind some desk work but constant desk work i cant handle. but if i where to join i want to know that i will be able to do field work and do some field work for example coast guard LE office, go out on patrols and board vessels. Or another example SF officer, go out on convoys or something of that nature. Cause with a degree i could get a better paying job than an a military officer and i want to know im sacrificing that for a exciting experience (i know it wont be all the time but some times)
any information will be greatly appreciated, thank you.
i am currently getting a degree in criminal justice

Is environment a good excuse for me not being able to do my best?
Studious_Ambition_ asked:
Unfortunately my family had limited options when we came to the US. As a result, for my high school years we had to settle in the deep south which in my opinion is probably the worst place to live in the US.
Due to the economy and out of state tuition costs rising, I am a high school senior who will be forced to go college in state. Here is how my environment stopped me from being the best I could have been:
1. Most schools are either full of rednecks/hillbillies who hate minorities (especially Asians such as myself) or ghetto kids who basically start fights for no reason. Private schools are expensive and parents would not send me there.
2. I had the opportunity to go to a selective high school and I did but the school I went to was only known for sending kids to regular colleges and not Ivies. The school was not as bad as the other schools but still the opportunities were limited, it did not have a football program or anything and no debate team.
3. The county I live in is poor, the average income is 15k.
4. I had run into a lot of bad influence and a lot of bad people, some who are in jail right now because I had no other choice. Having stubborn Asian parents doesn’t help the cause either.
My dream was to go to Harvard but I didn’t even bother to apply because I was told I wouldn’t make it in. I will be going to college and I don’t even know where to turn to for help, I want to go to Harvard and Yale still but the opportunity just isn’t there for me.
I learned the hard way that environment can be the limiting factor for a person but is it a good excuse for me not being able to go to my favorite college?
I am currently a high school senior going on to college. I have been bullied in the past because of my race and it is my dream to go to Harvard but I don’t know how it can happen now.
How do I force myself to stick to a food budget?
Shinchon asked:
I’m basically unemployed (employed on paper, but basically zero hours), and I have had nine job interviews, and so far no luck.
My rent is very, very low (about $150 a month when utilities are factored in). Food is costing me a lot of money, though — probably $200 a month.
I have calculated that if I went on a very strict regimen of grocery store discount food and water (no soda), I could make in on $100 a month for food.
Trouble is, there’s always this temptation to eat a McDonald’s cheeseburger or buy a Coke “just this once.”

If the distance between a neutral atom and a point charge is tripled, by what factor does the force on the atom by the point charge change?
